Designing A 3D House

Workshop Highlight
In this hands-on workshop, children had the opportunity to design and build their own 3D houses using a variety of materials. The project introduced the basics of architecture, spatial planning, and design thinking, all in a fun and accessible way.
Build, Plan, Create
Young learners explored how to plan layouts, sketch blueprints, and construct 3D models, strengthening both their fine motor skills and creative confidence. The session encouraged kids to think like designers — making decisions about form, function, and structure while using imagination to bring their ideas to life.
By the end, each child had a unique house model to take home — and a deeper appreciation for how things are built.

Why Kids Love It:
This workshop is a long-time favorite because it lets children fully express their creativity and independence. They get to make real decisions — from layout and color to structure and decoration — and watch their ideas take shape in 3D. It feels like real-world designing, which sparks a sense of pride and excitement. Kids love using their hands, working with different materials, and walking away with something that looks like their own little home. It’s both imaginative and deeply rewarding — which is why they keep asking for it again!
Language
At the same time, children are fully immersed in English vocabulary related to architecture, materials, directions, and storytelling. By describing their designs and ideas in English throughout the session, they build language fluency naturally, while doing something they love.
