Under the Sea

This week, our young creators took a deep dive into the magical world beneath the waves in our Under the Sea workshop. Using foil, cardboard, and string, children brought vibrant sea creatures to life, focusing mainly on designing colorful, textured fish in a variety of imaginative styles.

We kicked things off by talking about the ocean: its beauty, diversity, and importance. We looked at images and videos of marine life to spark ideas — shimmering fish, floating jellyfish, and coral reefs bursting with color.

This workshop was more than just arts and crafts. It introduced elements of marine biology, design, texture exploration, and fine motor skills. Children learned how different materials create different visual effects — shiny foil for fish scales, string for fluidity, and cardboard for structure.

Mission

By the end, our classroom turned into a vibrant underwater gallery, full of movement, color, and imagination. Children walked away with not just their fish — but new skills in composition, blending, and self-expression
